Carbon fiber has been used on bicycles as a high-end-tech material for the last ten years.Carbon fiber is not strictly a carbon element.But a mixture of carbon elements that are braided and bonded and reinforced by epoxy resin.It is a new type of composite material,who has great advantages of light weight,specific strength,high specific stiffness.We choose carbon fiber due to the high tensile strength,tensile stiffness,and the excellent weight-to-stiffness ratio.Different carbon fiber has different weight-to-stiffness ratio.
In order to achieve ultra-lightweight rims and wheels,we have invensted a lots of time and efforts in the selection of carbon fiber materials.Fortunately,we ended up customize our resin system to more accurately match our layer up design.Compare with other competitors,our rims is more lighter weight,stonger strength and more stable quality.We can also customize the layer up according to the target weight you require.Of course ,there are MOQ requirements if you want to customize your own weight.Even though we can customize layer-up ,but we do not suggest this customization service.As our weight and layer up are the result of repeated testing and experiments.And we have to spend more time to re-design and re-test if you need customization,that will cause your order to be delivered indfinitely.
At present,we mainly use T700 and T800 these two carbon fiber materials.The T700 carbon fiber is used for heavier version like (SD,XC,AM,DH,Enduro).We added the T800 carbon fiber because of the demand of lighter riders who is keen on ultra-light weight rims and wheels.All of our SL version rims were constructed by blend of T700+T800 carbon fiber to achieve a lighter weight without sacrificing strenghth or stiffness.
